OSSIPEE, New Hampshire — Police in in the eastern New Hampshire town of Ossipee say nine people aged 19 to 50 have been arrested after a lengthy probe into heroin sales in the region.
Radio station WMMV-FM reports the Ossippee, Madison, Freedom and Effingham police were joined in the drug sweep by New Hampshire State Police and the Carroll County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities say the nine will face charges relating to possession and sale of heroin.
At least one of those arrested, 50-year-old Curt Dow of Ossippee, was reported to have been out on bail on similar charges lodged last year.
