NEWARK, New Jersey — PATH service has resumed between Newark and the Journal Square station in Jersey City.
It was suspended earlier Thursday because the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey says strong winds damaged a Conrail overhead wire pole that was leaning over the tracks just west of Journal Square.
A crane was being brought in to make repairs.
NJ Transit honored PATH tickets from Newark into New York City. PATH also operated additional trains between Journal Square and 33rd Street and the World Trade Center.
