Wellspring Pain Solutions, 2400 N. Park Drive, will have an open house from 4 to 6 p.m. Feb. 18 to present treatment options for patients with low back pain and other chronic issues.
Justin Minyard, a 34-year-old U.S. Army First Sergeant, will attend the open house. He is one of the first responders at the 9/11 Pentagon attack and suffered a severe back injury while moving huge pieces of rubble and concrete to try to find victims.
Minyard also suffered a fall during a combat mission which further compounded his injuries. He will talk about his treatment with Spinal Cord Stimulation, which allowed him to overcome his pain and explore options outside of using pain medication.
The spinal cord stimulator is an implantable device that stops the brain from receiving pain signals.
