Financial literacy for children Saturday

Children can learn about earning, saving, spending and investing money through Captain Cash, an interactive educational program, by participating in sessions Saturday at kidscommons, 309 Washington St., Columbus.

The program, hosted by Purdue Extension, is designed for children 7 to 12. Each session is 75 minutes. Programs are at 10:30 a.m., noon and 1:30 p.m.

Cost is $5 and includes the event and museum admission. Preregistration is required to participate. To register or for information: 812-378-3046.

Also, kidscommons will have games and activities related to Financial Literacy Week from April 20 to 24. Details will be posted the day of the events.

The events are sponsored by the Bartholomew County Financial Literacy Coalition and are included in the $7 admission price to the museum.
