Biennial sculpture installation set

A sculpture by Bloomington artist Dale Enochs is scheduled to be installed Thursday in the Robert Garton Plaza on the edge of downtown Columbus.

Enochs’ work, titled “Counterpoint,” is made of Indiana limestone, powder coated steel, stainless steel hardware and gold leaf.

On its base, the sculpture will stand about 16 feet tall. It was fabricated specifically for the Columbus Indiana Sculpture Biennial.

The sculpture will be on display for two years, and will be located near Peter Lundberg’s stainless steel and concrete piece, “Daquqi.”

Enochs has worked as an independent artist for 28 years and has completed more than 17 public art commissions. His work is in private, public, corporate and museum collections in the U.S., Japan and China.
