The Columbus North High School Wind Ensemble placed sixth at the Indiana State School Music Association Concert Band state finals Saturday at Lawrence North High School.
Carmel and Penn high schools tied for first, and Avon High School was third.
Sixteen bands were selected to perform at the state finals.
The sixth-place finish ties the highest finish for North, which has made the state finals 18 times since 1992.
