• the kind lady at the Indiana Department of Revenue who was so helpful Monday morning.

• voters who were able to see through the fog, bombast and misinformation and vote for a man who will move Columbus forward.

• Bob Stewart and Fred Armstrong, whose exemplary records were vindicated in the recent primary.

• Jim Lienhoop for an outstanding victory in the Republican primary that provides something to look forward to in January.

Onions to …

• the person who says that they are a friend but acts more like an enemy.

• the spa and hair salon that closed and didn’t call their customers to let them know.

• restaurants that have stuffed animals in their decor.

• the factory that continues to employ an illegal female immigrant who has recently been arrested for welfare fraud.

• grown healthy men who will allow and watch female co-workers lift heavy items.

• laws that don’t make sense, like how you can buy paraphernalia and retailers make money off of it, but if you get caught with it, you get arrested.

• neighbors who don’t welcome new neighbors to the neighborhood.

• the office worker at the large corporation who tries to blame a shop employee for her mistakes.

• parents’ bad actions that turn children against them.

• the city council members who think the election was a mandate for returning to cronyism.

• law enforcement department for not having more officers on the street.

• utility customers who feel they shouldn’t have to pay for their actual usage, from someone who has to pay for her actual usage and doesn’t want to pay for yours, too.

• department head who does not have a DUI or traffic enforcement task force.
