Fly to the rescue: Volunteers are needed for morning and afternoon segments from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 13 for Columbus Municipal Airport’s Aviation Day featuring vintage aircraft, food and other activities. Some are needed for parking and grounds keeping. Some are needed to monitor children’s inflatable bounce houses. And others are needed to staff a welcome booth. Helpers on a roll: Volunteers are needed between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. June 20 for the Centra Foundation’s Smart Money Family Fun Bike Ride beginning at the Columbus Learning Center, 4555 Central Ave. Riders will have fun while learning about money and the importance of using it wisely. The ride, including two separate routes, will feature activities and questions related to money and the fun and importance of saving. For the kids: United Way 2-1-1 is looking for volunteers to answer phones to register children for school supplies for the upcoming school year.
