An Edinburgh woman is being held in the Bartholomew County Jail on three preliminary counts of theft, accused of stealing employee belongings from a department store break room.
Rebecca J. Muncy, 31, was arrested about 12:20 p.m. Tuesday in the 700 block of Whitfield Drive after police received a report about a suspicious woman in the parking lot, said Sgt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Depart-ment spokesman.
Columbus police officers located Muncy, who was carrying several items including a purse.
A short time later, several store employees flagged down officers to tell them about the break room theft.
The items Muncy was carrying were identified and returned, Harris said.
Muncy is being held at the jail in lieu of $15,000 bond.
