Bull Dogs post win

INDIANAPOLIS — Chloe Chambers scored an unassisted goal in the 33rd minute Wednesday night to lift Columbus North to a 1-0 Conference Indiana East Division win at Franklin Central.

The Bull Dogs (1-1-2, 1-0) outshot the Flashes 10-1. Charlotte Verbanic stopped the lone shot by Franklin Central.

Eagles set school record

SPRINGVILLE — Brown County fired a nine-hole school record but fell just short of a win in a 199-201 loss to Eastern Greene on Wednesday at Hidden Hills.

Emma Bawinkel won medalist honors with a 44 to lead the Eagles. Kacee Kleindorfer carded a 51, while Ashley Masteller and Tori Akles each shot 53 and Morgan Harrison had a 58.

Lancers down Tigers

FRANKLIN — Vanessa McManaway tied for medalist honors with a 47 Wednesday to lead Edinburgh with a 198-229 win against Triton Central at Deer Valley.

Mariah Weddle carded a 49 for the Lancers. Emma Westerfeld added a 50, while Kierra Richards shot 52 and Kenzie Hill had a 58.

EDINBURGH — Knightstown won the No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles matches Wednesday, but Edinburgh took the others in straight sets to pull out a 3-2 Mid-Hoosier Conference win.

Kyle Pendleton at No. 2 singles and Coltan Henderson at No. 3 singles won by 6-1, 6-1 scores; and Dalton Bieker and Tommy Schneider prevailed 6-2, 6-4 at No. 2 doubles for the Lancers. Kinser Bryant fell 6-7 (4), 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 doubles; and Parker Bryant and Anthony Weber lost 6-3, 6-1 at No. 1 doubles.

Cougars nip Mustangs

SEYMOUR — Trinity Lutheran swept the doubles matches Wednesday to pull out a 3-2 win against New Washington.

Andrew Rodriquez won 7-5, 6-1 at No. 2 singles; Bailey Baker and Matthew Stuckwisch prevailed 6-2, 6-3 at No. 1 doubles and Aden Jones and Hunter Morgan triumphed 6-4, 6-3 at No. 2 doubles for the Cougars (1-5). Jonathan Keith fell 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1 singles; and Tanner Prewitt lost 6-2, 6-4 at No. 3 singles.

FAIRLAND — Brown County won four matches in straight sets Tuesday in rolling to a 5-0 win at Triton Central.

Maverick Patterson won 6-0, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, Cash Myers posted a 6-0, 6-0 shutout at No. 2 singles and Eli White prevailed 6-2, 2-6, (10-4) at No. 3 singles for the Eagles. Zion Bunge and Hunter Ellis prevailed 7-5, 6-2 at No. 1 doubles; and Austin Roush and Cole Smith rolled 6-2, 6-4 at No. 2 doubles.

ELLETTSVILLE — Matthew Redmond got Brown County on the board in the sixth minute Tuesday, but Edgewood rallied for a 2-1 Western Indiana Conference win.

Logan Fittz had the assist for the Eagles (0-4, 0-2). Noah Seidle recorded seven saves.
