Alfred E. “Gene” Dickson, 76, Greensburg, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2015, at Arbor Grove Village in Greensburg. He was born on December 31, 1938, in Greensburg, Indiana.
Gene retired from NTN-BCA in Greensburg.
He was married to Dorothy Morton May 15, 1960, in Greensburg, and she survives.
He is also survived by one son, Donald E. (Michelle) Dickson, Westport; four daughters, Becky (Paul) Thompson, Greensburg, Susan (David) Owens II, Greensburg, Polly (Robert) Gatlos, Pennsylvania, and Penny (John) Wells, Knoxville, Tennessee; one brother, Lester Mozingo; six sisters, Kay Low, Hartsville, Joyce Hessler, Westport, Marilyn Morton, Westport, Mildred LeMaster, Westport, Donna Sullivan, Milford, and Helen Wamsley, Greensburg; 13 grandchildren;and four great-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Stella Mozingo; stepfather, Russell Mozingo; four brothers, Benton “Bud” Mozingo, Russell “Sonny” Mozingo, Jim Mozingo, and Kenneth Mozingo; and two sisters, Ruth Tempest, Rosemary Oliver.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 9, 2015, at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Union Baptist Cemetery in Decatur County.
