Joy Fair, 85, of Brooksville, Florida, formerly of Columbus, Indiana, passed away October 14, 2015. She was born in Sullivan County, Indiana, October 10, 1930, to John and Audrey Brown.
Joy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 52 years, Cecil Fair; a son, Dennis; a son-in-law, Bill Dowell; and her brother, Bill Brown.
She is survived by her children, Jerry and wife Patti, Kathy Dowell and Brian and wife Laura; a daughter-in-law, Sheila; grandchildren, Joe, Sarah, Justin, Tyler, Eric and Alec; a great-granddaughter, Laura; a sister, Sue Deckard; and several nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Northcliffe Baptist Church in Spring Hill, Florida.
A celebration of life will be held from 1 to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, November 7, 2015, in the mausoleum chapel at Garland Brook Cemetery in Columbus. Friends are welcome to join the family after the service at Eastside Community Center, 421 McClure Road, across from the cemetery.
