Panthers rally past Madison for first victory
NORTH VERNON — Nick AmRhein scored 19 points to lead four players in double figures as Jennings County overcame an early deficit to top Madison 65-59 for its first victory of the season.
Down by three at halftime, the Panthers (1-1) held the visitors to just six points in the third quarter, seizing a 48-43 lead. Jennings County outscored Madison 22-6 at the foul line, with Kenneth Jones making all eight of his attempts.
AmRhein hit four 3-pointers on the evening.
Tyler Vogel finished with 16 points and Jones had 15 for the Panthers. Justin Pettit finished with 11 points, while Josh Pettit hauled down 10 rebounds.
