Walter Leo Kramer, 87, Oaktown, passed away Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015, at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Walter was born Aug. 22, 1928, in Knox County, the son of Alois and Josephine (Gaiter) Kramer. He married Vera Later on Jan. 3, 1949. He worked for Hamilton Glass and later for Kramac Printing, and Vera Kramer Draperies, which he owned with his wife. Walter was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was an avid collector and flew radio controlled airplanes. He served in the United States Navy during World War II.

Walter is survived by his daughters, Brenda (Christopher) Cameron of Mt. Joliet, Tennessee, and Pamela (Dale) Langferman of Columbus, Indiana; son, Ben (Mary) Kramer of Oaktown; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and a brother, Gilbert Kramer of Vincennes.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Vera, on May 8, 1990; two brothers, Johnny Kramer and James Kramer; and a sister, Rosemary Kramer.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21, 2015, with a vigil service at 8 p.m. at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home Vincennes Chapel, 313 Church St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. David Fleck officiating. He will be laid to rest at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
