Jack Merrill Winters

Greensburg

Jack Merrill Winters, 86, passed into the arms of the Lord on Dec. 24, 2015.

Born Aug. 5, 1929, in Madison, Indiana, he was the son of Everett and Mildred (Gray) Winters.

Jack graduated from Madison High School in 1949. He served in the National Guard from 1947­ to 1953. He was a jewelry salesman for many years, and held a variety of other sales positions. He retired from American Lifts.

He was a member of the Greensburg United Methodist Church. He enjoyed woodworking, traveling and spending time with his family.

He was married to Shirley Ann Tevis, his loving wife for over 60 years, and she survives.

He is also survived by one daughter, Candice Dianne (Jim) Cazzell, Bloomington; two sons, Brad (Diane) Winters, Columbus, and Tracy (Phyllis) Winters, Greensburg; one

sister, Doris Miller, Madison; grandchildren, John (Michelle) Peters, Matt (Amy) Cazzell, Holly (Darby) Cazzell, Jason (Kari) Winters, Heather (Scott) England, Jeremy (Whitney) Winters, Adam Winters, Derek Winters, Dustin (Becca) Winters, Jaxxon Winters, Rebekah Winters and Rachel Winters; and 16 great-­grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 3­ to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015, at the Porter­-Oliger-­Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m., at the Porter-­Oliger-­Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.

Internment will be held in the South Park Cemetery.
