Mary G. Davis, 95, of Cammack, passed away Monday, February 8, 2016, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.

Mary was born February 3, 1921, in Muncie, to the late Fred and Mary (Gamester) Brown. During World War II, she worked at Chevrolet and later worked as a respiratory therapist at Ball Memorial Hospital for 25 years before her retirement.

Mary was affiliated with Cammack United Methodist Church where she enjoyed and helped to start the monthly luncheon. Mary enjoyed cooking and was an amazing cook. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Pete Davis; a sister, Nona Fortner; a brother, Lucky Maze; two children, Joe Hall (wife Susie) and Annie Hall; three grandchildren, Robin Hall (wife Christy), Mike Hall (wife Marianne), and Teri Lewellen (husband Scott); and five great-grandchildren, Kyle, Parker, Brock, Joey and William.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Arthur Maze; and a granddaughter, Tami Cornett.

A funeral service to celebrate Mary’s life will be held at noon Saturday, February 13, 2016, at Gant Funeral Homes, Yorktown Chapel, 2215 S. Broadway St., Yorktown, Indiana. Pastor Emily Sears will officiate. Burial will follow at Hawk Cemetery.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember two hours prior to services, from 10 a.m. until noon Saturday at Gant Funeral Homes, Yorktown Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be given to Cammack United Methodist Church, 1901 N. Cammack St., Muncie, IN 47304, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
