Doris J. Whipker, 87, of Columbus, passed from this life at 8:57 p.m. Thursday, February 11, 2016, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
She was a kind and generous friend.
Doris was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. She was formerly employed at Irwin Union Bank, St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Repp & Mundt and several area grocery stores.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Mark Teike officiating.
Family and friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to time of service Monday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Whipker was born April 16, 1928, in Somerset, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Robert and Mary Ringler Baldwin.
She married Carl Marshall Whipker April 17, 1960.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years and a nephew, Robert Reed of Pennsylvania.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Phyllis Reed and Shirley Stutzman.
