S. Michael Fox, 64, of Columbus, passed away unexpectedly from this life at 7:49 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2016, at I.U. Health Methodist Hospital.
A celebration of life gathering will be held from 1 – 3 p.m., Saturday, March 26, 2016, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home, 1029 Washington Street, Columbus. An acoustic jam session and time of sharing will begin at 3 p.m. as a tribute to Mr. Fox, a lifelong musician. Anyone who shares in Mike’s passion for music and wishes to play a final tribute with their instrument, are encouraged to participate at the 3 p.m. memorial jam session in his honor.
Born October 18, 1951, in Columbus, Indiana, Mr. Fox was the son of William H. Fox and Mary Mulhern Fox.
Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Jackie (Elstrod) Fox of Columbus; one step-daughter, Stacy (Jon) Wilkerson of Brownsburg, Indiana; one cousin, Jim (Robbie) Cooper of Indianapolis, Indiana; and mother-in-law, Virginia Elstrod of Columbus, Indiana.
Mike was proceeded in death by his parents; and father-in-law, John “Jack” Elstrod.
