Strategist not sure about Trump, but says Pence good choice
Although she once worked as a Republican Party strategist, Rachel Reynolds of Columbus isn’t sure who she’s going to vote for in the upcoming presidential election. “I am not a Trump supporter, but I’m conflicted because I’m not a Hillary supporter, either,” Reynolds said Friday while eating lunch at the Bartholomew County 4-H Fairgrounds.
“To me, it’s going to see how they stack up at the end of the day.”
However, Reynolds said she does see Donald Trump’s choice of Indiana Gov. Mike Pence as wise politically.

Because Trump is a political outsider, Reynolds said she sees Pence as representing safety for traditional GOP members.
“Pence was born, bred and raised through the Republican development machine,” Reynolds said. “He also has the look and feel of being a future president.”
As for Trump, Reynolds said the presumptive Republican presidential nominee advocates social domestic issues that she cannot support.
“I also think that, economically and internationally, he has the potential to be very harmful to the country,” Reynolds said.
