JENNINGS COUNTY — Jennings County Sheriff’s deputies and Indiana State Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a field near Country Squire Lakes subdivision late this afternoon.
Jennings County Sheriff Gary Driver said the man, who is believed to be in his 30s, was found dead in a field. Initial reports were that the victim had been shot multiple times, but Driver could not confirm that as the investigation was continuing.
Neighbors in the area reported multiple gunshots were heard in the Country Squire Lakes subdivision area at about 4 p.m., Driver said.
