Elaine C. Neville, 64, of Columbus, passed from this life at 8:11 a.m. at GreenTree of Columbus.
Elaine was a retired teacher, she had worked last at Children’s Inc.
She had a love for children and animals and was very passionate about teaching. She enjoyed photography, the outdoors, camping, fishing and shooting guns. Elaine always had a very positive attitude and smile.
A celebration of life graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. at Garland Brook Cemetery with the Rev. Howard Boles officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bartholomew County Humane Society.

Mrs. Neville was born May 19, 1952, in Washington, D.C., the daughter of Charles Louis and Barbara Jean Thompson Smith.
She married Gary S. Neville Dec. 28, 1974, in Columbus. He preceded her in death June 20, 2014.
Survivors include her brother, Bryan Smith of Hagerstown, Maryland; nephew, Bryan Smith Jr. of Hagerstown, Maryland; a niece, Katie Smith of Hagerstown, Marlyland; great-nieces and -nephews, Carlie, Jasymne, Christian, Aaliyah, Cameron and Jordan; close friends, Stephanie Gambrel and Jennie Addis; and her special friend, Layla, her yellow lab.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
