Rien Karel “Dutch” Ouwerkerk, 70, of East Elmina Drive, died at 6:50 p.m. August 21, 2016, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints with Bishop Denton Haight officiating. Calling will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Annis Little Butte Cemetery in Rigby, Idaho.
Memorials may be made to the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints Humanitarian Aid.
Survivors include his wife, Ilona LaRee Hanson Ouwerkerk of Columbus; daughter, Carissa Lynn (Daniel) Nelson of Columbus; sister, Faith Hazelton of San Jose, California; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
