Brian’s picks – October 13

1) If vocalist and musician Terry Clark were singing on the Western plains, he scarcely would need a microphone to be heard, such is his strong singing voice. See for yourself when he presents the free show, “Buffalo Bill in Song,” highlighting Buffalo Bill Cody at 6 p.m. Friday at the Hope Branch Library on the historic Hope Town Square, 635 Harrison St. Cody, an American scout and showman, once was among the most noted and recognized celebrities in world in the early 1900s.

2) Without a Lucas Oil Stadium ticket to see the Indianapolis Colts face the Houston Texans Oct. 16? Never fear. An alternate idea is here. But a $40 ticket to “The Ultimate Tailgate Party” at 5:30 p.m. that’s at Mill Race Center, 900 Lindsey St. in Columbus. It’s a first-time, 21-and-older, food-and-beverage fundraiser for Just Friends Adult Day Services, offering structured activities especially for the more frail senior population. If you cannot attend, you still can buy a $25 raffle ticket for a chance to win two seats in the Forrest Lucas suite for the Colts and Pittsburgh Steelers Thanksgiving Day game.
