An accident north of the Seymour/Jonesville exit has closed the passing lanes of Interstate 65 both northbound and southbound, police report.
The southbound passing lane of Interstate 65 is closed at the 58-mile-marker as crews chip away at removing a load of potatoes from a semitrailer, police report.
That semitrailer was involved in a personal-injury wreck earlier in the afternoon that left both the southbound and northbound passing lanes closed, Sgt. Stephen Wheeles said
Wheeles, public information officer for the Indiana State Police Versailles Post, said shortly before 6 p.m. that a crew was removing a load of potatoes from the trailer.
The potatoes have to be removed from the trailer before it can be removed from the median, Wheeles said.
He urged southbound motorists to watch for traffic to suddenly stop.
