Columbus police are investigating an accident involving a motorcycle and SUV which happened at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Lafayette and 25th streets.
Police said the motorcyclist was traveling west on 25th street, and a SUV was traveling south on Lafayette Street when the two vehicles collided.
Lifeline helicopter responded to the scene and the motorcyclist was flown to an Indianapolis hospital. His condition is unknown at this time, police said. An accident re-constructionist responded to the scene, and the specifics of the collision are still being investigated, police said.
