I failed miserably at all the sports I tried, but maybe it’s because I never tried lacrosse. Set your kids on a different path by taking them to Youth Lacrosse, 6 p.m. Saturday, with later sessions Feb. 11 and 18, at Foundation For Youth, 405 Hope Ave., Columbus. Winter lacrosse practices are open to all youth players in Grades 1 through 6. Equipment will be available on a first-come basis for each session. There is no cost for the session. Another thing I wasn’t so hot at was science. Take your kids to Mad Scientists! at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 16 at Donner Center, 739 22nd St., Columbus. Hands-on science fun for the whole family. Cost is $1 per person. No preregistration required. Snacks will be served. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
