FFA chapters meet in Broken Bucket Game

Bartholomew County’s two FFA chapters will square off Wednesday in their annual Broken Bucket Basketball Game, held during FFA Week.

This year’s event, between the Columbus and Hauser FFA chapters, will be 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Hauser High School Fieldhouse, 9273 State Road 9, Hope. The winning team takes home an old, broken milk bucket.

Piper Merritt, the FFA National Central Region vice president from Oklahoma, is in Indiana this week and will attend the charity game, said Aleesa Dickerson, Hauser FFA sponsor.

The public is invited to the event. Although there is no admission cost for the game, free-will donations will be accepted.

Hauser has a second public event planned for Friday, with the community invited to join in for a 6 to 9 a.m. pancake breakfast in the Hauser auditorium. Cost is $5.
