Keaton was taken to the Bartholomew County Jail on a preliminary charge of driving while suspended. Bond for Keaton was set at $5,000, and he was released, jailers said.
During the traffic stop, deputy Clark recognized passenger Lynnsey Lowe, 31, of 2007 Home Ave., Columbus.
When Indiana State Police trooper Jordan Craig arrived, his K9 officer Krieger alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle. Officers found multiple syringes, scales with a powdery residue, pills and other potential drug-related items, deputies said. The white residue tested positive for methamphetamine, they said.
Lowe was arrested on preliminary charges of dealing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of legend drug-injection devices and probation violation. Lowe was being held in the Bartholomew County Jail without bond.
Other officers who assisted were deputy Jessica Pendleston, detective Terry Holderness, trooper Matt Powell and trooper Joe May.
