Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge, 12985 U.S. 50 East in Seymour, is celebrating Earth Day today with a volunteer work day/refuge cleanup.
The event, which is open to anyone, starts at 9 a.m. at the Refuge Visitor Center and will include work for volunteers of all ages and abilities, including trash pick-up, work on the Visitor Center Nature Discovery Area and wildflower areas, and invasive species removal.
Scouts participating in the event may have an opportunity to complete certain badge requirements by pre-arrangement with refuge staff.
