A local woman was injured after a two-vehicle accident on north U.S. 31 near Market Street and Long Road at 5:09 p.m. Thursday.
Columbus police said Hollie O’Connor, 47, Columbus, was traveling north on U.S. 31 near Market in a black 2017 Acura when another car attempted to pull out from Long Road, resulting in a collision.
The car pulling out on U.S. 31 from Long Road was a 2010 Ford Focus driven by Tamara Mitchell, 25, Columbus, who was trapped in her vehicle after the collision and extricated by Columbus firefighters, police said.
Mitchell was taken to Columbus Regional Hospital for treatment of lower body injuries, according to the police report.
Mitchell was treated and released from the hospital, hospital officials said.
