A local man was being held in the Bartholomew County Jail in lieu of $950,000 bond after he was arrested by Columbus police officers on felony warrants.
A Columbus police officer saw Jermaine D. Ford, 32, of 919 Lafayette Ave., traveling in a vehicle near State Road 11 and Carl Miske Drive, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.
The officer confirmed felony warrants pending for Ford’s arrest and stopped the vehicle, where Ford was taken into custody without incident.
Ford was arrested on on warrants for two counts of dealing in methamphetamine and warrants for carrying a handgun without a license, criminal recklessness, intimidation and pointing a firearm, Harris said.
The Indiana State Police assisted with the traffic stop.
