COLUMBUS
Elmabelle L. Wamsley, 89, of Columbus, passed from this life due to congestive heart failure at 5:04 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2018 at her home, in the company of family.
Mrs. Wamsley was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church.
Elma worked as a Restaurant Manager before retiring.
She enjoyed reading, music, crossword puzzles and contributing to the needy.
Elma was born December 10, 1928 in Luverne, Minnesota. She was the daughter of James Curtis and Alta Mae Adams Blanford.
Survivors include her sons, Don L. (Mary) Wamsley Jr. of Germantown, Maryland and Dale L. (Beverly) Wamsley Sr. of Tucson, Arizona; grandchildren, Susan Dalton, Ervin Tulloch, James Wamsley, Jessica Hart, Dale L. Wamsley Jr., Diana Wamsley, Kristina Ramsey, Joshua Ramsey and Matthew Ramsey; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Merlyn (Donna Sue) Blanford of Indianapolis; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2018 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church.
Inurnment will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
The family request that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Feed The Children, P.O. Box 36, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73101-0036.

She was divorced from the late Don Lewis Wamsley Sr. and also was preceded in death by her parents; her devoted daughter and best friend, Diana Lynn Tulloch; 5 sisters; and 5 brothers.
