VINCENNES
Rose Mary Kaiser, 76, Vincennes, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Rose Mary was born January 21, 1942, in Vincennes, the daughter of Clarence and Eloise (Horsting) Cardinal.
She married George A. Kaiser on November 18, 1961.
She was a 1960 graduate of St. Rose Academy.
Rose Mary was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and a charter member of the Knights of Columbus Women’s Auxiliary.
She worked at J.C. Penney, was co-owner of Kaiser’s U-Pick Strawberries and was the co-owner of Fresh and Silk Designs.
She enjoyed sewing and quilting, flower arranging and cake decorating. She was extremely creative and was able to pick up any artistic task and not only succeed at it, but master it.
Rose Mary is survived by her husband, George A. Kaiser of Vincennes; children, Diana (Brian) Graman of Columbus, and Jenny (Keith) Staley, both of Columbus, and Father Gary Kaiser of Jasper; grandchildren, Ethan Graman of Franklin, Cody Graman of Indianapolis, Brianne Staley of Brighton, Colorado and Evan Staley of Columbus; siblings, Betty Jo (Lawrence June) Hess, Shirley Wagoner and James “Jim” Cardinal; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Eloise (Horsting) Cardinal; siblings, Norma Jean Bilskie and Francis Cardinal; and twin infant sons, Michael and Matthew.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home Vincennes Chapel, 313 Church St. She will be laid to rest at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
