INDIANAPOLIS
Charles Thomas Helt, 64, of Indianapolis and Columbus, passed away peacefully May 16, 2018. He was born May 19, 1953, to the late Charles Mitchell and Dorothy Helt.
Tom was a graduate of Latin School of Indianapolis High School and received his Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana State University. He was employed as a Computer Security Analyst for the Department of Defense. Tom was a member of the Moose Lodge and enjoyed travel, researching, and enjoying fine whiskeys.
Visitation will be Monday, May 21, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Wilson St. Pierre at 5950 East Thompson Road. Funeral service to follow Tuesday at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, 2601 E. Thompson Road, at 10 a.m.
Tom is survived by his wife, Barbara (Muncie) Helt; son, Charles David Helt (Crystal); grandchildren, Jonathan and Tristan.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Timothy Episcopal Church in Indianapolis, the American Cancer Society nd Caring Spirits (Tom and Barb’s personal charity foundation).
