Susan Bayh, wife of former Indiana Gov. Evan Bayh and the former first lady of Indiana, had surgery Tuesday for brain cancer, according to WISH-TV Channel 8, a news gathering partner of The Republic.
Susan Bayh served as first lady when Evan Bayh served as governor from 1989 to 1997.
She is currently a member of Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs as part of their Dean’s Council.
