Columbus needs a convention center. We employ people and spend a significant amount of money to attract people to our community. And, people do come by car and bus. The Columbus Area Visitors Center has done an outstanding job promoting Columbus.
But, it’s time to take the next step. Columbus’ leaders, both elected and volunteer, need to appoint appropriate leaders to determine whether a convention center is needed, how large it should be and where it should be located. Let’s get started.
