Silly String and beach balls soared over 262 Columbus East graduates after tassels were turned and air horns, kazoos and a cow bell heralded 437 graduates at Columbus North High School during commencement ceremonies.

A chilly Memorial Day weekend marked the opening of the swimming season and the unofficial start of summer at Donner Pool.

1968

Sixteen cows strayed from a farm on U.S. 31A North and found their way to North Washington Street and National Road where city police loaded them onto a cattle truck and returned them to their owner.
