WESTPORT
Patrick C. Lazenby, 76 of Westport, passed away at 5:13 a.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Decatur County Memorial Hospital.
He was born on March 17, 1942 in Dearborn County, the son of Virgil and Ethel (Hunter) Lazenby. He was born and raised in Dearborn County and moved to Westport in 1971.
He graduated from Moores Hill High School in 1960.
He retired from Cummins Engine in 1996 after 30 years of service, where he was a member of the Emergency Response Team.
Pat was a member of the Westport Masonic Lodge No. 52 F&AM, Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine in Indianapolis, Decatur County Shrine Club, and the Trailblazers CB Club.
He announced for the Letts & Burney Tractor Pulls, owned C & L Wood Sales and was a former member of the Westport Volunteer Fire Department.
He enjoyed fishing and playing on the computer.
He married Deborah Williams in Columbus on June 21, 1986 and she survives.
Other survivors include his daughters, Melissa Bailey of North Vernon, Mendy Lazenby of Westport and Christena Sweet (Gary Davis) of Greensburg, his sons, Brian (Nita) Lazenby, Robert (Michelle) Sackett, both of Greensburg; his sisters, Linda Colson and Susie VanDyke, both of Greensburg, Judy Zoltz and Shirley Berry, both of Milan, Marlene Honeycutt of Elrod, his brothers, David Davidson and Greg Davidson, both of Milan, Larry Davidson, Billy Davidson, and Tim Davidson, all of Moores Hill; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a few great-great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Anthony Robin Luke; brothers, Jerry Davidson, James Davidson and Raymond Jenkins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 8, 2018 at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Pastor Mike Bartlett officiating. Burial will follow at Westport Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 4 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home with a Masonic Memorial Service at 8 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Shriners Hospital for Children.
