NORTH VERNON

Mildred Jean Reynolds, 93, of North Vernon passed away at 8:50 a.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at her residence.

Born August 29, 1924, in Jennings County, Mrs. Reynolds was the daughter of Joseph and Gladys McNicholas Grinstead.

She married Lee Reynolds on April 7, 1945 in Vernon; he survives.

Mrs. Reynolds was a machine operator for the former Regal Rugs in North Vernon and a volunteer for Hospice.

She was a member of Jennings Church of Christ and a former Sunday school teacher at the First Christian Church and Christ Way Church.

She enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles, bowling, watching her grandkids play sports and picnics with the family at local parks.

Surviving with her husband, Lee Reynolds, are daughters, Linda (Jerry) Lamb, Marcia (Jamie) Olds and Mildred Marie Perry, all of North Vernon; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James, Harold E., Robert E. and Joe Grinstead, sisters, Margaret Elsey, Louise Stewart, Dorothy Burns and Betty Clark; and son in-law, Buck Dennis Perry.

A funeral service for Mrs. Reynolds will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 11, 2018, at the Jennings Church of Christ with the Revs. Marcus Speer and Joshua Olds officiating. Family and Friends may call on Sunday, June 10, 2018, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services from 4 until 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon.
