A total of 700 tons of flood debris was hauled to Bartholomew County Landfill, where the per-ton charge was suspended for flood-damaged articles, about 300 Columbus Regional Hospital employees began working to clear the facility of water, mud and debris in preparation for remodeling damaged floors, and more than 50 local farmers met with Gov. Mitch Daniels to voice their concerns about replanting lost crops.

The first annual Columbus Go-Kart Grand Prix at Eastbrook Plaza drew a crowd of more than 500 spectators and a fast field of more than 70 karts from a three-state area.
