An Indianapolis man wanted on multiple warrants was arrested after a short standoff with police.
Columbus police saw Randy H. Wilson, 26, Indianapolis, enter a home in the 1800 block of Cherry Street at 7:35 p.m. Wednesday, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.
Officers surrounded the home and ordered Wilson to leave the residence, but he initially refused to do so, Harris said. After a 30-minute standoff, Wilson left the home and was arrested, Harris said.
Wilson was arrested on preliminary charges of Bartholomew County warrants for:
- Failure to appear on charges of battery, resisting law enforcement and public intoxication
- Robbery with bodily injury, criminal mischief, battery and theft
- Failure to appear on a preliminary charge of false informing
- Criminal mischief
He was being held in the Bartholomew County Jail without bond, jail officials said.
