Woman arrested after traffic stop

A traffic stop on U.S. 31 North led to the arrest of a Columbus woman on drug-related charges.

Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Deputy Leah Burton stopped the vehicle at 7:15 p.m. Friday near the intersection of U.S. 31 North and old U.S. 31, deputies said.

During the stop, drugs were located on the driver, identified as Debbora K. Bozell, 55, of 2710 Flintwood Drive, deputies said.

Bozell was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia, deputies said. She has since been released from the Bartholomew County Jail, jail officials said.
