COLUMBUS
James Stocker Peters, 94, passed from this life at 6:45 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2018 in Columbus, Indiana.
Jim was born in Columbus, Ohio and is survived by his sons, Jon (Valerie) Peters of Happy Valley, Oregon, and James (Nancy) Peters of Columbus, Indiana; and daughter-in-law, Karen Peters of West Lynn, Oregon; brother, Donald Peters of Westerville, Ohio; grandchildren, Jennifer (Michael) Thomas of Seattle, Washington, Heather (Thomas) Etienne and Katherine Peters of Portland, Oregon, Emily Peters of West Lynn, Oregon; and great-granddaughter, Elsie Thomas; as well as several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Nancy Plumb Peters; sister, Marilyn Termer; and sons, Kenneth and Timothy.
A celebration of life service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. July 10th, 2018 at the Jeanne Lewellen Norbeck Memorial Chapel, 4554 Middle Road, Columbus, IN 47203 (near the airport), with Rev. Charles Aigner officiating.
Inurnment will be in Columbus, Ohio.
