1) The Warrior Kings, once a blues-oriented Indianapolis ensemble, have turned its sound more toward the hard rock genre in recent years. The group brings its collection of classic rock covers and original material to the Columbus Area Arts Council’s JCB Neighborfest free street concert from 6 to 8:30 p.m. today in front of The Commons at 300 Washington St. downtown. A full bar, including beer and wine, will be available in front of The Commons. Food from Henry Social Club also will be available. Information: artsincolumbus.org.
2) Indianapolis musical duo Tim Brickley and Michael Beck may as well call their free 6:30 p.m. Tuesday ’60s & ’70s Music Rocks Concert at the Bartholomew County Public Library Plaza a soundtrack of my younger years. Because that’s what their set list will include. That means songs from Cat Stevens, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, James Taylor, The Rolling Stones, and well, we could be here all day. Bring a lawn chair to the plaza, 536 Fifth St. in Columbus, unless you’re partial to dancing shoes. Information: 812-379-1266 or mybcpl.org.
