Milestone Contractors is beginning work on the city’s 2018 Overlay project.
Work planned for Friday includes patching on:
- First Street from Franklin to Lafayette streets
- Fifth Street from Lafayette to Pearl streets
- Seventh Street from Franklin to Lafayette streets.
Work planned for Monday through Wednesday includes patching on:
- Forrest Drive from Maple Street to 27th Street
Illinois Street from Brooks Street to Gladstone Avenue
Beginning Monday, crews will begin replacing cross gutters on Flintwood Drive at the intersections of Yellowwood Drive, Magnolia Street, 29th Street and Miami Drive. Each intersection will be closed one at a time for the work. About one week later, crews will begin installing underdrains at these same locations.
Motorists are asked to reduce speeds and use caution in work zones. Flag personnel and construction signage will be offered. No parking signs will be posted in the affected areas.
