Nine manufactured homes provided for Bartholomew County flood victims by the Federal Emergency Management Agency were to be tested for mold after routine maintenance checks found mold on doors and door jams of exterior water heater compartments in a number of the mobile home units shipped to Indiana.

Arvin Industries purchased 49.9 percent of Italy’s largest shock absorber producer, Way Assauto, near Turin, Italy.

A record-breaking 573 pints of blood were donated to the American Red Cross by local Cummins Engine Co. employees, breaking the old record of 455 pints and more than doubling the monthly quota of 210 pints.
