FREETOWN
Rebecca S. Day, 69, of Freetown, passed away unexpectedly at 2:32 p.m. Sunday, July 22, 2018, at her home.
Rebecca was born June 17, 1949, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of Herschel F. and Emma Grace Todd Reed. In 1967, she married Richard G. Ayers. He preceded her in death on April 11, 1998. On June 22, 2001, she married James E. Day. He preceded her in death on June 22, 2007.
Survivors include her son, James D. (Linda) Ayers of Seymour; daughter, Sandra Dee (Brad) Jacobs of Paris Crossing; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one brother; five sisters; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Richard G. Ayers; second husband, James E. Day; three brothers and two sisters.
The funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 27, 2018, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Jonathan Moore Pike with Pastor Damon Marling officiating. Family and friends may call Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Brown County.
