A Reddington man was arrested on felony drug charges after a traffic stop.
Columbus police stopped a vehicle driven by Troy L. Iverson, 54, of 7623 U.S. 31, Reddington, at 12:15 a.m. Wednesday near Seventh Street and Gladstone Avenue for a minor traffic violation, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.
During the traffic stop, officers noticed Iverson was visibly nervous and a police canine was requested, and alerted to the odor of narcotics in the vehicle, Harris said.
Officers searched Iverson’s vehicle and found drug paraphernalia, 19 syringes and more than eight grams of methamphetamine, Harris said.
Iverson was arrested on preliminary charges of dealing in methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a legend drug-injection device and possession of drug paraphernalia, Harris said.
Iverson was being held in the Bartholomew County Jail in lieu of $247,500 bond, jail officials said.
