Olympians pick up victory
BATESVILLE — Lauren Steinwedel won medalist honors with a 41 Monday to lead Columbus East to a 190-202 win against Batesville at Hillcrest.
Kati Brunn added a 47 for the Olympians. Ellie Buntin and Harley Gant each shot 51, and Payton Meier had a 55.
Eagles take 2nd, Lancers 3rd
EDINBURGH — Brown County’s Ashley Masteller won medalist honors with a 39, but Whiteland won the tri match at Timbergate.
The Warriors finished with a 179 team total. The Eagles took second with a 203, and Edinburgh was third with a 241.
Taylor Poling added a 50 for Brown County. Ainsley Wintin and Allison Stogsdill each shot 57 and Abby Padgett had a 71.
Morgan Calhoun led the Lancers with a 50. Emma Wade carded a 61, Bethany Burton added 63, Haven Link shot 67 and Maddie McGaha had a 68 and Brooke Link finished with a 69.
Highlanders top Panthers
NEW ALBANY — Jennings County fell to Floyd Central 195-206 at Valley View.
Peyton Whitehead led the Panthers with a 48. Sydney Campbell carded a 49, Ellie Hearne added a 56, Destiny Joray shot 58 and Annie Ertel 59.
