A local man was arrested by Columbus police after he attempted to flee after a traffic stop.
Columbus police saw Aaron M.C. Christian 23, of 1712 Elm St., inside a vehicle in the 1600 block of Central Avenue at 3:45 a.m. Monday, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.
Officers had confirmed an active local warrant for Christian’s arrest when he attempted to flee from the vehicle and push the officers, Harris said.
After a short scuffle, Christian was arrested on the warrant and a preliminary charge of resisting law enforcement. He was being held in the Bartholomew County Jail in lieu of $5,750 bond, jail officials said.
